Abstract
This dissertation aims at detecting possible use case scenarios of telemedicine in pediatrics and analyzing the strengths and the challenges of this new healthcare service through a desk study of treaties and researches. Telemedicine has significantly developed in recent years: nowadays it is considered an efficient support to the traditional and day-to-day healthcare practice.The paper begins with an introduction of the topic with reference to the Italian scenario and the general relevant legislation. Subsequently, I am going to highlight the aspects that should be the foundation of a telemedicine service suitable for a pediatric patient, with a special focus on interpersonal, communication and educational nursing skills necessary to establish a relationship of trust with the child. Finally, I am going to include an example of usage of Telenursing as an educational support to mothers after the delivery.
