Abstract
The object of the present work concerns a traumatic condition known as crush syndrome. This pathological condition is still little known even though it can lead to a potentially lethal impact for the life of the subject involved. The information provided is the result of a review of the literature, conducted through the main available databases and sitographic references. Research has shown that the syndrome starts with locally, apparently trivial damage, because in most cases it involves injuries to a body's extremities, which if not adequately treated, trigger systemic damage, starting with renal failure. Moreover, despite the specificity and the infrequent development of the syndrome, its importance derives from the plurality of conditions from which it can begin and from the necessary timely recognition in order to quickly perform the appropriate interventions. This shows the need for specific treatment proposed through the identification of the main applicable and contextualizable diagnosis and according to the singularity of clinical cases.
