Abstract
This paper has been developed starting from the internship I did at the Homecare Service in Sassuolo, with the aim to analyze how nursing care can play a fundamental role in the patient with injuries.Through a review of the scientific literature on the subject starting from the Pubmed database and Google Scholar, then including the main guidelines on the subject, the aim was to: - provide an overview of the approach to the assessment and management of the main lesions, with a focus on their characteristics and the complexities of the patient (first chapter) - represent the main types of medical dressing and how to approach the carrier patient (second chapter) - describe in more detail the most common types of lesions (third chapter) - discuss the nursing role in therapeutic education and the pain issue in the injured patient (fourth chapter) In conclusion, the fundamental role that the nurse has in the management of injuries is being highlighted, including not only technical skills but also relational aspects, aimed at building a therapeutic alliance.
