Abstract
This work was written to present a clinical case of pediatric chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction (PIPO), discovered during an internship in the pediatric ward. The objective of this text is to underline the importance of therapeutic education for PIPO's parents with the support of a brochure. The thesis talks about the characteristics of the pathology, epidemiology, etiology, diagnosis's information, surgical and pharmacological treatments. Furthermore, the text deals with the topic of partial parenteral nutrition in PIPO's patients, administered with the use of CVC. The databases used for bibliographic research are Pubmed, Cinahl, Nursing Reference Center Plus and Uptodate. Subsequently, the work focuses on the patient's clinical case and on her personalized care planning. The care plan was written using the taxonomic language (NANDA-I, NOC, NIC). In the end, the text deals with therapeutic education and the educational methods used to train parents to take care of the child with PIPO at home. In conclusion, the text presents a brochure used to support parent's education. The brochure provides useful advices, some infomations to avoid the main complications and shows the infusion line replacement procedure for parenteral nutrition.
