Abstract
This dissertation has the objective to deploy the knowledge about the EUSOMA Certification, which gets recognised when a Breast Unit achieves all key requirements so that patients can benefit from standard medical services that ensure the best outcomes. Therefore, when a senological centre applies for the certification, it must comply with some specific stages that will drive the Committee to the final decision. The EUSOMA's purpose is not simply to guarantee better medical assistance services, but also to expand scientific knowledge and educate about prevention. Among the key stakeholders within the cross-functional team there are the Breast Care Nurse and the Case Manager. Both team members play a significant role during the patient therapeutic pattern, in fact they have to provide the required support, but especially the Case Manager has to guarantee that each operational assistance is carefully planned and coordinated.
