Abstract
In this thesis work the problem of addictions is addressed, in particular from alcohol and smoking, as substances that are very widespread and used in today's political historical context, through a bibliographic search. It is a risky social health phenomenon. It describes the vision of society with respect to addictions and the responsibility of the health worker. We also wanted to describe the territorial services aimed at the population, illustrating the specific regional and local paths. Particular is the aspect linked to substance addictions in the workplace and the role of the nurse towards the potential clinical risk. In conclusion, the main nursing diagnoses are described with related objectives and interventions.
