Abstract
Drepanocytosis or Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) is a chronic disease that affects physical, psicological, social development and requires the intervention of a multiprofessional team. The document is based on aspects of clinical management and collaborative care, in particular about the treatment of painful crises, which represent the most common cause of hospitalization, and about the prevention of complications, with particular focus to what are the nursing interventions with the use of the NANDA-NOC-NIC Taxonomy and on lifestyle adaptations to successfully manage this disease.
