Abstract
The following compilation examines the lack of vitamin D in women wearing the veil and considers the latter as a risk factor. The objective of the study is to highlight the different personalized care interventions that consider not only the state of health, but also factors that at first impact may seem irrelevant but in fact condition the health of the individual. Vitamin D has been analyzed in this treatise and specifically what it is, its production and its homeostasis, what causes its deficiency and what its excess. In addition, I illustrated the meaning of the veil, what it is, what types are worn and why it is worn. Through bibliographic research and a selection of different studies, the correlation between this deficiency and the use of hijab was illustrated. After that, the various pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments necessary to compensate for vitamin D deficiency are exposed. Finally, I personally developed a primary, secondary and tertiary prevention project. The aim of this thesis has been reached, namely, to confirm the hypothesis that the veil could be a risk factor for vitamin D deficiency and for the associated diseases.
