Abstract
There is no doubt that the onset of the pandemic due to the SARS-CoV-2 virus and consequently the COVID-19, that is the disease it triggered, had a strong impact on several levels on the entire world population, creating implications not only in the health sector, but also affecting the heart of the economy and the everyday life of every citizen, especially in the most affected countries. Depending on the degree of severity of the epidemiological trend of the pandemic in their own state, the various world leaders have adopted measures to contain it: the lockdown, i.e. the imposition of measures to restrict the free movement of individual citizens, was the trick mostly used both last spring and also during this winter. The purpose of this thesis is to dwell on the difficulties faced by health workers in general (the main protagonists of this "war") and specifically the health professional in the figure of the nurse in the intensive setting, whose assistance is very important for better recovery and healing.
