Abstract
This thesis deals the subject of diabetic foot, focusing on the prevention of ulcers, the actions to be taken by health systems, professionals and patients to minimize the onset of early or recurrent ulcers, but also the assessment, classification of ulcers and the organization of cares that have proven effective. I show the 16 recommendations made in 2019 by International Working Group on the Diabetic Foot for the prevention of foot ulcers, based on the systematic reviews of the literature they have made and the 5 recommendations for classifications to be used in the assessment of ulcers, plus the 3 levels of care needed to integrate the work of a multidisciplinary team and take care of the patient at each stage of his illness.
