Abstract
Due to the constant increase in the average age, healthcare professionals find themselves more and more often dealing with complex patients, with numerous comorbidities and frailties. This is especially true for cardiology patients, who represent a real challenge for doctors and healthcare professionals. This thesis work is intended to investigate the evolution in the treatment of structural heart disease through taking care of the patient by dell'Heart Team, and the role in this field in a technologically advanced environment as the hybrid operating room. New interpretations of the model of assistance based on multidisciplinary teams, open the way to the birth of training courses that combine skills from different areas of medicine; the figure of the “hybrid” nurse originates from this innovative concept. Materials and methods: to search for the sources, the main scientific databases were consulted using the following keywords: hybrid operating room, hybrid room, hybrid theater, hybrid room TAVI, TAVI, heart team, heart team TAVI, heart team hybrid room. After restricting the results to the publications of the last 10 years, a progressive selection of the material was made. The sources thus obtained were then analyzed in a complete way, going to deepen some themes with further research, carried out with the same method, and with the consultation of specific articles cited within the texts. Further notions were obtained from medical and scientific websites and from the consultation of textbooks.
