Abstract
Thesis speaks about management of central and peripheric venous catheters, in particular PICC and Midline. The use of devices is increased in last years to do particular intravenous therapy and infusion of some drugs. It’s most important education and preparation of nurses about that, but not always it is adapt. Chapter two and chapter three speak about some methods to use to teach the practice for management of devices by a Digital Storytelling called “Il valore del metodo”. The video is a story that it explains the relevance of preparation of nurses to prevent medical complications caused by devices. Last guidelines by EPIC and INS were consulted to write about PICC and Midline, some books and some article are used for write chapters of thesis. GAVeCeLT, CINAHL and Nursing Reference Center are database consulted. IMovie and After Effeck are software by Digital Storytelling was done. Key words of this thesis are: Digital storytelling, management, nursing, PICC and Midline.
