Abstract

The thesis aims to explore the level of job satisfaction and get to know the rewarding and problematic elements of personalized assistance to the patient, the team and the organization through understanding the experience of the nurses of the unit of Internal Medicine of the Santa Maria Bianca hospital in Mirandola. The investigation began in May 2017, when the department in question adopted Primary Nursing as an organizational model for the provison of personalized assistance. In December 2019, the survey provided for an intermediate phase of data collection through the recording of the interview via focus group by co-participating in the Caring project of the Asl of Modena. Subsequently, the collected data were reproduced verbatim, returned and analyzed through the "Content Analysis" by the writer with the supervision of the supervisor and co-supervisor. Despite the initial diffficulties, the main data emerged show how the adoption of Primary Nursing and the use of Nursing Care Plans (subsequently abbreviated NCP) have favored the provision of personalized care. In particular, the aspects that most characterize the satisfaction of nurses concern the greater assumption of responsibility and the greater enhancement of the professional figure towards the medical staff and the patient. In the relationship with it, it emerged that a relationship of trust was established which recognized the nurse as a reference figure in the treatment path
