Abstract

Introduction: Because of the multicultural society, it is necessary to supply quality and cultural competent assistance to foreign people, especially when they approach the end of life, where cultural and religious aspects are significant. Palliative care means a personalized cure plan for each person, with the purpose to guarantee the best possible quality of life satisfying globally the needs.
Purposes: This study examines the past's palliative nurse of Modena to explore the emotional dimension supplied by their work and the perception of differences in the foreign's assistance, whit a particular look at Muslim religion.
Methods: 10 qualitative interviews are done in July 2019 with palliative nurses. Interviews are structured to explore the purposes of the thesis.
Results: Because of the relationship aspect and the contest of work involved, emotional implications are notable and of difficult handling. The main differences notice of cultural and religious variables are represented by the acceptation of death,the women's role, and characteristics rituals. The main difficulties are represented by the mediation of meaning between different culture schemes.
Conclusion: Palliative care work entails considerable emotional implications, so it is important to handle it. These enrich nurses' past, with suggestions in daily factors. In end of life, significant is the transcultural competence of the team to create a personalized solution for each patient, by integrating different explicative models.
