Abstract
This thesis will explore a considerable peculiarity on the changes in the health system including the increase in chronic diseases, the centrality of the patient in the treatment process, the involvement of citizen and the ageing of the population who pushed the higher organs of healthcare, both national and international, to define the new technological policy within the e-health offered in the Italian system.
Digitization must be integrated into nursing practice as this figure is considered the closest to the citizen, only recipient of assistance provided; It is only through training and the will to introduce change that important objectives can be achieved, in terms of improving the final results of assistance (outcome), faster timeframe and cost-appropriate benefit ratio.
Through a good technological evaluation represented by a multi-stage algorithm it will be possible to choose the most advantageous solution for all.
At the end of the thesis work, the information was collected and the contents were summarized, highlighting reflections on the role of nurses and future suggestions for a deepening of the theme.
