Abstract
The paper has as its main topic the safety and prevention of risks in the management and manipulation of the antiblastic drugs of the professionally exposed categories, from the storage of the stocks to the administration and disposal. The guidelines and legal regulations governing professional action are explained as well as the legal and deontological responsibility of the nurse daily engaged in handling these substances. Through the analysis of the literature it is clear that knowledge and awareness of the behaviors to adopt to act in safety and avoid physical damage of exposed operators and users is essential. The high intrinsic toxicity in antiblastic drugs requires nursing assistance focused on the prevention of clinical risk and specifically on the correct administration of antiblastic drugs with particular attention to the management of side effects and to the prevention and care of extravasation.
