Abstract
The numerous constraints of the health system and the increase in the spread of technological devices have led to rapid development in the field of telemedicine. In the dissertion the issue of mobile Health is correlated with a specific chronic pathology, the diabetes. The thesis is structured as follows:
- in the first chapter the diabetes is described describing its characteristics. Finally, the socioeconomic impact of the disease will be analyzed.
- in the second chapter introduces the topic of mHealth, illustrating the various mHealth technologies and giving a more in-dept look at social networks such as Instagram and WhatsApp in the health care context.
- in the third chapter the use of mobile application in diabetes management is discussed, referring to some studies conducted.
- in the fourth and last chapter, we will explore gestational diabetes with the development of telemedicine, evaluating how this can affect the quality of life.
