Abstract
The elaboration of this thesis deals with the nursing care pathway for small patients with Cystic Fibrosis and their quality of life, giving space to the importance of supporting parents in the difficult management of this chronic disease. The choice of this topic was born out of personal interest, after an experience of getting to know a small warrior, where I had the opportunity to learn about this condition, unknown to me at that time. The first part of the paper focuses on the presentation of the pathology, explaining the methods of diagnosis and transmission, how much and how it involves the organs, the role of the nurse in preventing and treating the complications related to clinical manifestations and the different nursing assistance activities and education to children and their caregiver parents. The involvement of this pathology is not only addressed to the small child, but to the whole family and for this reason a psychological support and the establishment of a relationship of trust between them and the health workers who are closest to him, including the nurse, is fundamental. It is the professional figure of reference, who has the task, in terms of therapeutic education, of giving complete, as well as providing emotional and psychological support and careful assistance in every aspect of care to ensure better quality of life.
In the final part of the thesis, some nursing diagnoses have been developed through the tenth edition of the NANDA International taxonomy, after identifying the emerging problems from the study, addressed according to a logic of priorities, reliable results and nursing interventions aimed at achieving them.
