Abstract
Relevance of the problem
Elderly persons staying in the Elderly Residences (CRA) often have conditions of comorbidity and chronicity that make them fragile and vulnerable with considerable complexity of clinical and care management. It is common practice that these should be sent to the closest Emergency Departmnet closer, even in the absence of obvious emergency conditions, to perform more instrumental examinations and/or special advice in a short time. In these cases, the guests of CRAs are often forced to stay in PS for a long time, creating considerable incovenience for those assisted in PS, causing organizational problems that help trigger the phenomenon of overcrowding in PS.
Object of the thesis
Nursing activities related to the implementation of the CRAPSOS route. The CRAPSOS pathway provides the implementation of protected diagnostic pathways for the guests of CRA sent to PS.
Aim and objective of the thesis
Highlight the management and care role of nurses in the CRAPSOS pathway.
Conclusions
From the experience of the implementation of CRAPSOS it is evident how much the organizational component of the nurses is necessary for the success in management procedure.
