Abstract
The following work is about to explain the nurses purpose for the prevention of anorexia nervosa in the adolescence. Lot of importance is on the analysis of multifactorial risk factors which provoke the arising of this specific disease in the peculiar age of adolescence, defined by physical and psychological change. Instruments of prevention which cause the reduction of risk factors and reduce the effect of anorexia nervosa, are examined. Its explained the role of the nurse as a promoter and a health educator to give specific instruments of prevention directly for the adolescent and his family.
The first chapter debates all the peculiar aspects of anorexia nervosa in the modern society, underlining how the adolescence is the most attacked age for this pathology.
The second chapter analyses the starting treatments for the anorexia nervosa in the adolescence, referring to the several applications of nurse profession in these treatments. It concludes with a mention to the pharmacological treatment of this pathology.
The third chapter poses the accent on the prevention programs which showed to have a great efficiency in the reduction of risk factors determined by the pathology and the specific role of nurse in these programs, as the expert able to give his contribute in the education and improvement of mental health.
The forth chapter presents a list of several nurse diagnosis about anorexia nervosa, showing up different interventions which can be applied in the pathology contest.
