Abstract

The paper initially deals with the Service of pathological addictions in Italy and in particular in Emilia Romagna and in the province of Modena; he later analyzes the correlation between foreign users and access to services for pathological addictions.
Subsequently, the focus is shifted to the issue of immigration in Italy, mentioning the current immigration legislation both at the general level and in the health sector.
In the elaborate, the theme of multiculturalism is dealt with by referring to Madeleine Leininger, a pioneer of transcultural nursing, to underline the importance of applying an effective model of transculturality, especially in the healthcare sector where nursing should be an interactive model, able to operate in different areas of care and take responsibility for situations that are activated in a constantly changing world, both locally and globally, where different cultures and identities come into contact continuously and find themselves having to interact in the same contexts.
The aim is to offer a global vision on what the needs of a migrant person with drug addiction problems are and to highlight the importance of a multicultural approach by the nurse, always taking into account the differences of the other, understanding them and accepting them.
Finally, a standard PDA will be presented in a migrant person with drug addiction problems using the NANDA-I, NOC and NIC taxonomy.
