Abstract

This elaboration will explore the autism spectrum disorder, which can be chronic, neurological and developmental. It includes the autistic disorder, the Rett disorder, the disintegrative disorder of childhood, the pervasive developmental disorder not otherwise specified (PDD-NOS) and Asperger's syndrome, because the symptoms are of various types and severities. The causes are not known, but some studies suggest that autism is due to genetic, biological and environmental factors. It manifests itself in the first years of life in all ethnic and economic groups. The social-communicative dimension, of the evolution and of the social learning are interested, as well as the transferability, the sensorial and perceptive motor sphere. The signs and symptoms of autism such as compromised communication and social interaction, stereotypical, rigid and repetitive behaviors, restriction of interests, the hypo or hyper sensitivity to light, noise, odors and temperature can be seen in various ways at different ages and in each individual can change over time and vary with maturity. The approach with the autistic child, his family and the caregiver must be both relational and technical and must be based on empathy, in order to develop a therapeutic alliance in the relationship of personal care. A professional nurse, prepared in the psychological, ethical, relational and behavioral fields, is able to become an effective clown nurse, acting on the mind, body and spirit through play, in order to develop technical and artistic skills, positive emotions and qualities such as acceptance, acceptance and sharing.
This allows to promote the autonomy and the active participation of the person, to implement the mental, affective, bodily and relational systems and to improve communication with the child and the autistic boy.
