Abstract
This paper deals with IESA project (Inserimento Eterofamiliare di Supporto Psichiatrico per Adulti – an Italian foster family care project), which was created with the purpose of satisfying part of the current and future goals of the World Health Organization (WHO): the importance is frequently states to highlight the human person who comes before the psychiatric disorder, but which often remains eclipsed by the diagnosis, the stigma, the therapeutic plans and the fear. IESA is a project that aims to stem loneliness, which often develops exclusion from society and represents the main suffering, going beyond the institutional logic. The aspects of life of those who undertake this experience are based on the human relationship that is created between the patient and the host family. The idea of analyzing this topic stems from the direct experience of internship experienced in the territorial service of the Modena Health Care, from which it was possible to observe the implementation of the project itself. We also want to bring to the reader’s attention the way in which this project aims to re-emerge the independent part of the person, enhancing those that are the healthy resources possessed and making it relate to each other. This thesis has the ambition to divulge the project emphasizing the benefits deriving from its adoption demonstrating how the world of psychiatry has widened its perspectives.
