Abstract
Pressure injuries have always had a great psychophysical impact on patient's life. For this and other reasons knowledge about their prevention and management should be the priorities among nursing staff and not only. Healthcare professionals and especially nursing graduates would have the obligation, under such conditions, to be based on guidelines and practices of evidence, even if research in this sense shows that there is a lack of knowledge and sometimes adherence to the guidelines on the prevention of this phenomenon. The objectives of this thesis are to understand the knowledge of nurses in the prevention of pressure injuries and how the study and professional practices can influence it. We tried to understand what could be the most effective methodologies for training in this field. Research in the literature has brought to light many uncertainties and contradictory results both regarding the knowledge possessed by nurses on pressure injuries and on the possible impact that professionalising practices could have on it. Finally, strong doubts and difficulties emerged from the analysis of the studies on the methodologies that, hypothetically, could have a greater impact on the training on pressure injuries.
