Abstract

The purpose of this work is to underline the educational and informative implemen- tation that young people and especially the population, need as regards the themes of "brain death" and "organdonation". Nowadays, the seissues are treated too superficially, and it is proven by a percentage of the population that is notable to difine the concept of encephalic death, because the only death it knows is cardiac death. The same goes for the organdonation: an important part of the population, is not aware of the methods to donate, or if it is, it doesn’t understand the really importance, although today's world has a considerable need for organs.
The literature has strongly demonstrated that those who are aware of  these issues
are often in favor of donation, while those unfavorably are not often intentionally, but out of disinterest of thissubject. This is why the “non-donor”is not recognized as non-empathicperson, but simply as a person who needs information, which can be provided by us, health professionals, or by awareness campaign scarried out by the State.
All that has been found in the literature, has been confirmed by the descriptive quantitative study carried out on all the students of the Nursing Degree Course in Modena, through the administration of a Questionnaire of 23 questions with the aim of investigatingboth the scientific and legislative knowledge, both the sensitivity of students, future health professionals.
