Abstract
Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) is a rare acute neuromuscular disease, where pulmonary complications due to respiratory failure are the main cause of mortality.
The patient suffering from this disease is at risk of numerous complications and suffers from various disorders that the nurse must be able to recognize, prevent and fill.
This paper aims to report the importance of nursing care and the knowledge that the nurse must possess; focusing on the prevention of global complications and with a greater focus on the respiratory ones.
