Abstract
Nowadays, the management of immigration in Italy represents a significant problem which has an impact on the economic, social and sanitary field. This paper will deal with the management of the patient entering the emergency room, and the various methods, assessment tools and professional roles involved in this process. You will find the highlight of multilingual evaluation forms, interprofessional integration between the nurse and the cultural-linguistic mediator and the involvement of shelters, taking into consideration the area of Modena. These shelters are used for the resolution of the clinical case that I have analysed, studied and solved. The main object of this paper is not only to underline the importance of the triagist nurse’s role but also the importance of the tools that he/she uses to guarantee the integration, the coordination and the continuity of help towards the patient.
