Abstract
The history has seen nurses in conflict sitantions from the roman epoch, the military organization changed during the two World Wars and after, all over the world, changing the art of Nursing in itself. The italian context has a different evolution also in that field but the fundamental achievement we have is the scientific education. The features of the new fighting way depends on the context. A globalized world, in wich the crysis of the state-nation and the new economy created the basis of conflicts with an enemy, who could be everywhere, who considers us as an enemy; it’s a circle of attack and defense. Children, women, fighters, civilians pay the conseguence. A nurse, today, as a citizen, as human, as professional could be a protagonist. A possibility is the military carrier or other organizations as “the Red Cross”, “Emergency” and “Doctors Without Borders”. Every career has his own education, organization and a nurse can have different roles and responsabilities. Important protocols are the TACTICAL COMBAT CASUALTY CARE, MASS CASUALTY CARE, described in the last chapter with the care of war’s wounds.
