Abstract
Sepsis is one of the most ever-increasing pathologies in the world's population and with the highest mortality rates in Intensive Care Units. Of fundamental importance is the sharing of common protocols to be followed and to be confronted throughout its entire path within the Hospital to allow for adequate treatment and energy and resources savings, and in carrying out a timely diagnosis in the most appropriate ways. Through a collection of procedures and an analysis of literature data, the need for a shared treatment protocol and training on the rapid framing of sepsis that is able to reconcile clinical needs with the resources of the setting without losing diagnostic and therapeutic applicability. From this, it becomes apparent that the use of shared protocols and the proper training of staff for the management of a disease that is so difficult to deal with, is constantly increasing.
