Abstract

Aim.  To demonstrate the importance of using standardized language in order to provide effective support in palliative care for oncologist. 
Background.  In daily practice, nursing documentation is often considered of secondary importance leading to a strong disorganization in the planning of the caring. NANDA-I, NIC, NOC taxonomy is a fundamental tool to promote the use of systematic language recognized by various experts in order to facilitate an effective and functional organization of a path, of integrated palliative care, that should be activated early.
Methods. This review of literature was carried out through searches done on major databases. 34 scientific articles were considered, to which 9 documents from other sources were added.
Results.  Research shows that the use of standardized language as a fundamental component of nursing practice favors a slim and dynamic organization of palliative care. 
Conclusion. Although the goals set out within the elaboration have been achieved, there are still many aspects that need to be deepened in order to provide ever-superior quality care for a constantly growing type of sufferer.
