Abstract
The aim of the thesis is to highlight the importance of taking charge of the paediatric patient, based on child and family centered care. Integrating the professional figure of the nurse with specific knowledge and other reference figures for children in their daily life. The elaboration, through a review of scientific literature, investigates different psychological, social and environmental dimensions involved in the conditions of wellbeing and pathology of the paediatric patient during the period of hospitalization and how they are able to interfere in one way or another. Therefore, a model of integrated and multidisciplinary care is proposed, in which the main rights and needs of the child are recognized in order to preserve their childhood in the hospital as well.
