Abstract
The purpose of this script is to present, with a revision of the scientific literature, the theoretical basis on which the cognitive-behavioural group therapy is founded, the organisational principles and the objectives this treatment is proposed to reach both for the patients and for the operators.
Our will is to offer a tool that summarises the guidelines for the guidance of a group on a territorial level: from the choice of the patient to enter to the choice of the modules to process and the sessions organisation.
For this reason, we also transcribed some examples of guidance and a few modules processed during some meetings at the centre of mental health Polo ovest in Modena.
We also intend to bring to the attention of the reader the importance that a nurse can have in the group guidance, with a remarkable decision-making autonomy, having a key role in the rehabilitation of the psychiatric patients.
