Abstract

Burn damage is one of the most serious illnesses. is a traumatic and not uncommon illness, of specialized expertise, frequently fatal in it's greatest expressions.
Mortality is higher among young people and the elderly.
2/3 of the accidents occur in the domestic environment and most commonly involve children, most often burned with hot liquids.
Burn is caused by the exposure of the skin and it's components to thermal, chemical, electrical or radiant sources.

The immediate treatment of a burned patient follows the same algorithms of any patient with trauma, with the identification and care of any lesion that potentially endangers life.
Children under five years have a high risk of death and hospitalization related to burns. For the physiological conditions of pediatric patients, burn injury is severe, although an equal trauma in the adult would not be the same.
In this paper, the differences between nursing care for the adult patient and the burned pediatric patient will be highlighted. The fundamentals of pediatric patient care will be thoroughly discussed and following presents an investigation and it's nursing care plan following the Taxonomy NANDA-I, NOC, NIC.
