Abstract
The management of the person with cardiac tamponade by the nurse is complex, both for the critical nature of the assistance of this condition and for the clinical instability. It is therefore necessary for the nurse to take proper and careful attention on the process nursing, which includes various care interventions: from monitoring the vital parameters to the most advanced procedures that allow the nurse to control the patient from the various points of sight, avoiding all the possible complications of the person undergoing this type of surgical treatment.
The cardiac tamponade is a serious clinical condition characterized by the accumulation of blood or liquid between the pericardial sac and the heart muscle, such as to exert a strong pressure on the heart, which prevents the ventricles to expand properly. The purpose of the thesis was to investigate the general nursing care to adult person suffering from cardiac tamponade, in a phase immediately after the intervention of solution of the tamponage, a not fully treated argument by the manuals for nurses. The discussion of the subject is followed by a case report, which includes a description of a real case and its nursing care planning through the use of taxonomic language (NANDA-I, NOC e NIC).
