Abstract
Following a myocardial infarction, in many cases the patient may have doubts or uncertainties about what measures and
interventions are most appropriate to be able to return to their daily lives. This paper takes into consideration what is the quality
of life of the patient with myocardial infarction and the role of the nurse, referring to studies and research that evaluate how is
important, in post infarction, nursing care and how this affects improving the quality of life. From the literature review, it has
emerged the importance of implementing efficacious therapeutic education interventions in the post-infarction phase not only to
ensure early rehabilitation but also to allow for constant improvement and maintenance of quality of life.
The lack of a therapeutic relationship makes any educational effort useless, in fact it is able to favor psychological adaptation
following trauma and should be the basis of nursing care.
