Abstract
Relevance of the matter: the distress call could involve everyone, both adults and children. For this reason, it is necessary having a prepared operator which is able to identify the health problem and keep usefull information in short times, also from user less cooperative. The subject of the thesis is the analysis of nurse’s role in the management of the emergency call. Method: they were analized operating procedures and protocols used at Operation Center of East Wide Area. The aim of the thesis is to study the role of calltaker nurse and dispatcher nurse in the management of incoming calls to 118 and the coordination of emergency vehicles on Modena area. Conclusions: the presence of nurse’s procedures for the management of influx of calls, to determine the severity of the interventions (code colour) and for sending suitable emergency vehicles is critical to ensure effectiveness in aid.
