Abstract

The acute coronary syndromes are caused by insufficient blood supply to the myocardium. The causes are mostly of atherosclerotic nature as a result of which one can determine an occlusion of the lumen that suppresses or reduces the flow of arterial blood. The Acute Myocardial Infarction  is determined by the occlusion or abrupt total of either coronary or their branch. Myocardial ischemia induces almost always the appearance of an intense pain that can remain localized in the chest or radiate to the left arm, throat, abdomen, jaw. The risk factors are, age, sex,lifestyle, smoking, nutrition, diabetes and drug use. The election Treatment acute myocardial infarction is the reperfusion by percutaneous angioplasty, performed in the catheterization laboratory. After returning in the ward, the patient is continuously monitored, and the ward nurse in charge of nursing targeted to basic needs of the patient, such as nutrition, assessment of fatigue, bowel function and diuresis, hygiene, mobilization and 'careful understanding of what is the psychological state of the patient. One of the basic tools of the nurses to the patient is the counseling, can provide guidance and support to the patient. Crucial in this process, which covers the therapeutic education direct to the patient and the family.
