Abstract
The stipulation of this paper has been produced with the analyzing of the sickle cell disease, focusing on the nursing management of pain in children and support the patient’s family. The key point of the thesis is the need for more professional training of the team of this disease, allowing the improvement of lifestyle in the child and prevention of complications related to this condition. We were identified some solutions that can be implemented, both in hospitals and at home, by the nurse to reduce pain during vaso-occlusive crisis of the child, focusing on no-pharmacological techniques, education and family treatment at home.
