Abstract
Stroke is a neurological event that occurs acutely and represents the second cause of death and the third cause of disability in the world.
The purpose of this thesis is to focus the attention on the difficul- ties face to up by a person affected by stroke and the consequen- ces of such an event. Especially focusing on communicative com- plexity that arise during service because of aphasia that prevents the patient to express their needs. In order to facilitate the ex- change of information necessary to ensure the patient the care needs of which I have drawn up a table of augmentative alternati- ve communication (AAC).
For the writing of this paper I have consulted the major databases, numerous books and sections of books, articles from journals and websites.
