Abstract
This script takes into consideration problems related to dementia in the elderly, along with cognitive and behavioral disturbances. Various conventional and non-conventional therapeutic approaches, with an emphasis on multi-sensory stimulation, will be examined and a particular attention will be given to the "Snoezelen" multy-sensory stimulation of the subject, bringing back and reporting the individual usage protocols. This therapeutic modality was proposed at a regional operational, which initiated the treatment of patients suffering from dementia and/or delirium. It was found that this "Snoezelen" approach brings many benefits to the patient with cognitive-behavioral disorders, but at the same time it highlights the need for further research in this direction, with the aim of developing the actual use protocols that are most effective as well as comparable to each other.
