Abstract
In this paper was treated nursing care to patients suffering from scleroderma, a rare, autoimmune, rheumatic disease and still poorly treated, in order to make it known as it has repercussions in the physical, psychological, personal, social and working sphere of the people who are affected, causing a reduction of the autonomy and the patient's ability to become, over time, more and more dependent. The first part of the thesis discusses the characteristics and manifestations of the disease by presenting a frequent condition in the patient scleroderma, skin ulcers. The second part deals with nursing need to educate patients about their disease, the risk factors and their prevention, providing advice and support in accepting the disease, in the performance of home medications and development of coping strategies personal to meet the increasing disability. In the last part of the thesis they were included the assessment made in a patient with scleroderma, and its development of care planning. The planning took place on the basis of the person’s needs, is described using the language Nanda-I, NOC and NIC, in order to better understand the importance of the assistance given by the nurse.
