Abstract
Hydro-elecrolyte balance describes the physiological homeostasis condition between water and electrolytes within the human body. This balance is one of the most important factors that a nurse should check and there are many causes that may compromise physiology. Hyperhidration and dehydratation are the most common forms of homeostatic imbalance. With this thesis . I aim to highlight the main areas of autonomous action for a professional nurse in dealing with hydro-electrolyte imbalances. I reaffirm the importance of technical training, but i also note how the nurse's communication and relational skills towards patients are key factors . In conclusion ,the development of a standard nursing care plan on a patient with hydro-electrolyte imbalance aims to underline that the nurse through a correct assessment and taking care of the patient is responsable for assistence.
