Abstract
Drug addiction is a problem that plague the society in all its parts, from young, to old people. Often this problem is underestimated and addicts are marginalized. This thesis analyzes the drug addiction, the diagnostic criteria and the main drugs of abuse. It is also treated the psychiatric nurse’s history and the work they do with the patient addict during his hospitalization. Is also within this work, a care planning, carried out using the taxonomy Nanda-I, NIC and NOC.
