Abstract

The eating disorders (ED) are diseases whose incidence has been increasing markedly in recent years. The causes of these disorders can be many, both psychological and biological, but still are not well defined. These disorders are divided into Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and Binge Eating Disorders. The aim of this paper is to treat and deepen patient care suffering from Anorexia Nervosa, starting from the potential causes to the treatment and the clinical assessment, and developing a personalized care plan, with diagnosis, nursing interventions and activities (NANDA, NOC, NIC). For the creation of this report have been sought relevant documents and publications, and searching by entering the following keywords: "Eating disorders", "DCA Guidelines", "nursing role in helping the person with DCA". From the literature search it showed that the diagnostic and therapeutic path of the person with DCA contribute several health professionals who complying with the clinical guidelines provide multidisciplinary care in which the nurse acts as a "case manager”. It 'also important to have a holistic view of the patient, as such condition draws upon both the physical component that the psychological. As for diagnosis, treatment and prevention, in Emilia-Romagna we are used clinical guidelines, which provide guidance on organizational methods and strategies to be adopted.
