Abstract
The main argument of this thesis is the schizophrenic patient, focusing on a summary of the history of psychiatry and the changes that have occurred over the centuries until today, and it was devoted a chapter to the patient management delusional and aggressive. The focus in the also importance of being nurses in psychiatry, their evolution, from "guardian of the insane", to professionals, with an important and significant role on psychiatric patient management. After dealing more specifically schizophrenia, from the classification of the disorder, of the treatment, to the relationship with the patient, it was decided to talk also about of the mandatory medical treatment, the aggressive patient restraint and the risk of suicide. In conclusion, has been included a care plan (with the use of taxonomy NANDA-I, NOC and NIC), on a patient with schizophrenic disorder diagnosis.
