Abstract

The burn is an acute traumatic disease and It can affect any part of the soma. The burn is caused by exposure of the skin and / or soft tissue to heat sources, chemical, electrical or radiation. In in these years, the thermal injury is one of the leading causes of death and injury in both industrialized countries and in developing and involving people belonging to every age group. Each year, deaths from burns are about 265,000 worldwide and are a major health problem in industrialized countries like the United Kingdom and the United States. In Italy there are 14 specialized centers of Great Burns, 2 present in the Emilia-Romagna (Parma and Cesena). The Burn Centre or, in his absence, the intensive care units and reanimation have the possibility to prepare the most suitable environments: furthermore, the specific competence of doctors and nursing staff improves the type of initial treatment and prognosis of patients. The aim of this work is of illustrating, in the light of the literature on the subject, the best behaviors to be implemented in case of treatment on a patient badly burned. This work, in fact, has as its object the Nursing in the management and the general treatment of the burned adult patient, from first aid to the admission into a center Large Burns. Based on epidemiological data and information obtained from International Guidelines, it would be desirable to propose in Italy of the registers at national level so as to collect data as possible ordered, to try to improve the approach to these patients and formed in every hospital a team of professionals specializing in the management of burned patients.
