Abstract
In the first chapter, the dissertation explores the Italian ageing and, in particular, the situation in Emilia-Romagna and its projects for elderly people. Furthermore, it is illustrated the pattern on AD (Alzheimer’s Disease) which main features, prevention and disease phases are described.
The second chapter explains some of the areas of interest that the nurse has to concentrate on during the assistance on demented patience and mainly on prosthetic room, rehabilitation, relation and caregiving and eventually on the management of behavioural disorder.
The last part of the dissertation is about the narration of a clinic case with an exhaustive assistance nursing plan that sets up the patient’s priorities, the expected results and the practicable nursing interventions. In the attachments there are the multidimensional evaluation scales used evaluating the patient of the clinic case.
