Abstract
This thesis aims to investigate the nursing management of C-PAP for the treatment of acute respiratory failure (ARF) in the pre-hospital setting. The issue of which has been paid more attention is the practice clinical care by the nurse who comes on site, on the approach to the patient and the ability to recognize the primary cause of the IRA. In the literature many articles were collected related to Nursing, land to different devices: Ventimask, Boussignac and Helmet. It is recognized the effectiveness of all the devices listed above, with a prevalence of the use of the diver in the wards high intensity, long term therapy lasting in time. Part of the thesis is dedicated thoracic ultrasound and the benefits of having an ultrasound on advanced rescue vehicles. This would lead to optimize the time of diagnosis and treatment. The success of NIV depends greatly on operator training, their professional skills, experience in the field and their readiness to
recognize the complications that can result in the C-PAP, so as to prevent the failure of the device without resorting to invasive procedures as gold-tracheal intubation
