Abstract
The aim of my thesis is to implement knowledge about the nursing management and highlight the side effects that chemotherapy implies, not only physically, but also psychologically, in the patient with lymphoma.
After deepening realized through a literature search, I described a clinical case, which I administered some questionnaires validated to assess the one hand, the physical decay that treatment determines, on the other, the psychological resentment that implies. Both the literature search and work with patient, have shown that the effects of chemotherapy on a psychological level are multiple and changeable over time. It has been confirmed also, how the relationship, with various health professionals, can benefit the assisted. In fact, the nurses, like other operators within a multidisciplinary team, was fundamental for the purpose of helping the patient to cope with the disease and its psychological experience.
