Abstract
This research is born during one of my internship in a pediatric ward where I could see how the child’s safety is important and not to be underestimated. I felt the need to deal with the problem of pediatric hospital falls as, even if they do not find great success in literature, occur with some frequency, with consequent negative effects on child health, with increased costs for investigations diagnostic and additional care, and often burdensome aspects of the legal and public image of the structure. The nursing role fulfills a vital role in terms of servicing. Then, the same nurse, being a professional responsible for the act of care, must be able to implement strategies for the prevention of this phenomenon. This document includes information about the risk factors, assessment tools, intervention, education for family members and evaluation of outcomes that relate to the pediatric patient.
